Am I missing a smart solution to discrete EV charger

Am I missing a smart solution to discrete EV charger

Hi,

I have a basement bellow the bottom light stone area and a living room above, both with power (but living room a little more fiddly. I'm trying to do an EV charger install without it looking too unsightly but feel like im missing a trick on how to do it.

My current idea is to drill into basement, run wire from there outside, and then run it up behind the gutter to hip height for the box. I've also mulled whether to mount the EV charger at foot level to keep it quite hidden or drill through to the living room where that black circle is and just run the wire through there (but that is very invasive from an install point of view as it means ripping off shirting boards etc to get access.

How would you do it, and is there a good idea I'm not thinking about here?

Plastering - PVA out the side of skimming - How to progress before painting

Hi,

I had a section of my ceiling cut and then skimmed. Either side of the skim is PVA glue it looks like. I know I can't paint PVA glue, I could have used Zinsser or similar except that the PVA was sort of torn in places meaning there would be obvious thickness missing in parts if I just did that.

So my question is, how do I properly prep my ceiling now prior to painting? It feels like my only option is to peal the PVA glue at either side and then carefully sand it to blend it where it meets the plaster, then use Zinsser, then paint, but having not done this before I don't know if I am missing a trick of the trade.
