Hi. My son is starting UCSC in the fall and our old car (2005 Chevy Suburban) is not up to the task. It’s a six hour journey on a good day. We need a second car anyway and I was thinking of buying (preferable to leasing?) a used PHEV. We live in an apt and not a house so not easy access to electricity. And my son is 6’3 tall so needs space to fit! Any thoughts on if this is a good way to go? Thank you. New to this whole process. My previous cars were always outright purchases and kept them until no longer viable (as with Suburban).
