It has come to my attention that many of you have been reporting me to WDFW after my last post about the clams. I truly respect your commitment to preventing poaching and resource exploitation in your state. That being said, please understand that I did not break any laws. I went out with three other people and followed all regulations about keeping the clams separated until we got back to the motel in Hoquiam. I of course purchased a shellfish license and personally collected under 15 clams.

Please do everyone a favor by withdrawing these allegations and ceasing your reporting of me. I am sure WDFW and the Washington State Police have many more important matters to attend to. I also have a previous criminal record, both in the US and internationally, and am highly concerned that I will not be able to dispute these allegations in court. Thank you.

Arrived around 3:30am and followed the tide out until around 7am. Not sure exactly how many I got, but way more than expected. Found one location where there were just clams sitting on the surface (see photos) and I was able to pick up 10 or so just from that. Is it possible those clams are poisoned? I am not sure why they would just lay there and not dig down.

EDIT: Because everyone is going crazy let me do the legal diligence of claiming that I had an informal agreement with three other people to use their licenses. No one license holder harvested over 15 clams per the WDFW regulations. Thank you.

I was planning to go dig this week but got delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and have to push back to next week. Am looking at the April 30th date, but noticed it is "tentative". Does anyone know what this is contingent on? What is the likelihood the dig is cancelled?
