Been playing Wo Long.

As per the norm with me, recently picked up Wo Long on its last sale. Currently in Part 6, chapter 2, on the NG run.

I almost always wait for games to be out so the patches and balancing acts can happen. Long gone are the days I give a damn about putting down a boss pre nerf. It used to be something I enjoyed, but as I got older that 'drive' died off.

This game is really hitting the spot. It's not as brainless as Ubisoft/Harry Potter sort of games where you can just outright turn off your brain and hit some button inputs, and watch shit die. But it isn't one of those games that make you die 20+ times on each boss before you progress.

Story is absolute trash, but in the best of ways? The entire time I play this game it's like I'm time traveling to a Pizza Hut in the early aughts of the millennium, and I'm arcading it up. Sometimes the NPC buddies remind me of my homies on the TMNT games of old. They're there, but they might as well not be. Fuckheads.

Also gives me this strange dungeon crawler D2 vibe.

The 2 toughest bosses were the clone guy and horse boy so far, but that's because I was going at them the same way I did the others. Changed tactics a bit, tweeked the build a little, and they melted too.

All that being said, I like the sort of games where you comb through bullshit gear to find the desired RNG. I also love the group salvage options they provide, so combing through and destroying all that shit doesn't phase me. It's like digital groundskeeping almost.

But yeah, all in all, glad I got the game. Looks to be an easy platinum too, so ayyyy
