There are other videos and the answers range from transmission to turbo bypass valve. The dealership said its an evap purge motor or something like that, but I’m skeptical. While initially I thought it was coming from in front of the front seat passenger area, now I THINK it’s coming from the passenger rear, possibly over the rear wheel near the gas filler.
When the car is hot and I’m on the gas I hear it. I come off the gas after a few seconds it goes away. Back on the gas and the noise returns. I tried to demonstrate that in the video. Under the road noise if you turn it up you can hear the whine. IRL the noise is very present in the cabin.
Or is the problem with premature wear due to some design problem in the braking system, not just poor quality VW pads?
