How do you defend?

I don't mean like covering passing lanes, holding the line etc but what button do you use to tackle?

Moving to cover lines? Match up? Manual standing tackle (what stupid me has been using)?

Was just chatting to an opponent who defended like Smart Assist and they said they basically just hold press (not constant, just for defensive actions). Am I the only idiot not doing this?

There are no words

I no longer have words, not even impolite ones, to express how much I fking hate this game and how it cheats.

Context: Match vs Div 3 AI (playing like a top 100 human). I'm playing FUMA with a u21s squad, on a decent run of form and wins. I dribble a lot, a few passes to open the play or move the ball from the back and through midfield, and then dribble (partly because PA4 passing and ball control - let alone player switching - is wildly inconsistent and unreliable).

I could show you input reading to make your blood boil.

I could show you clips where you can see perfect drag backs and touches just as the ball is being tackled from them. I could show you BS animations as a player with limited dribbling skills glides through three players.

I could show impossible saves, repeated blocks by multiple players and clear fouls not called by players that somehow gained 20 pace to make up 10 yards of ground to chop from behind. I could show you light-speed ping pong, so fast you can't possibly switch player to the right guy in time most of the time, yet all three goals came from ridiculous long balls from defence where my midfielder was moved out of the way and the defenders slept or couldn't lay a glove on them through pure magic shielding.

This is an absolute shitshow, a humourless farce. An epic of rage bait. A soup of diarrhoea with a floater as crouton.

And the worst thing of all? Most of this stuff also happens against Smart Assist users too. This kind of match is like playing against Smart Assist but without the human messing things up.

Lots of you are F2P players, and a lot of you use Smart Assist.

It's pathetic enough to use Smart Assist when you're F2P. But once you stop using free cards, especially all you who cleared that Anime box, carrying on using Smart Assist makes you *EXACTLY THE SAME* as those P2W players who use Smart Assist.

You are the lowest of the low, you are the shite on the foot of the sewer dwelling rat.

If you don't want to be scum, maybe turn it off 👌🏻 No more excuses now kiddie.

I've seen the tooltip but I assume it isn't some magic thing, it's not a different animation or movement like Blitz, so it'll be something more like Momentum Dribbling and the others where it adds points to specific skills (in that case dribbling, for Through Balls a percentage to passing when throughball is used etc)

So, my assumption is that Magnetic Feet will add a point to Tight Possession and maybe Balance and Physical Contact for each person - up to the four max - in close proximity?

So, that's regular POTW Bruno Fernandes, in Div 4 AI divisions, turning into bastard Maradona with a small dose of Vieira thrown in 😂😂

Like, sure, make the passing sharper or cleverer, do a few tricks here and there, but we're supposed to see this and just think "yeah that seems reasonable". It's bloody Bruno! Love the lad but THAT is never going to happen 😂

Jesus wept, it's not that crazy in Div 2 AI league usually 😆

AI players with it seem like they throw themselves to the ground to win fouls that aren't fouls but just wondering if there's any evidence of it doing useful things when it's your player.

Was just looking at this new free Neymar and realised how similar it was to my old old one.

Then looked over to my old old Lainez card. His stamina was low even then 😂 not sure he'd even finish the half before he hit red.

So, what's your oldest card?
