My boyfriend would like a tpr tattoo that he can add tour dates onto. the current and probably most obvious idea we have is a tombstone to represent DXRNR with dates gradually being added on, but there is consideration to have halestorm have the tombstone as that's a very tricky band to think of a tour tatoo date in our opinion and two tombstone tattoos seem silly (if you have a halestorm idea as well, please do share!)

my others ideas were something relating to a lighter, but any ideas will be much appreciated! go into as much or as little detail as you want. remember, something we can add tour dates on to over time!

i originally suggested getting the logo to eventually be made from tour dates but he said that would take too long (or he's just not committed enough to go to 40 shows at once).

we were considering doing a halestorm-esque tombstone to represent bftd and have the dates be on there, but we are also looking for a 'the pretty reckless' tattoo idea for him and tombstone is being heavily considered - if anyone else is a fan of tpr and has suggestions for them as well please do comment, i know fans of tpr and halestorm tend to interlink c:

just putting it out there that obviously i nor anyone else knows taylor personally here so this is all speculation, but based on some hints and returning characters in her life it seems that ‘when i wake up’ and tbh the whole ‘dear god’ era is between her times during LMU and GTH. people might think she’s referencing the pre DXRNR era where she abused substances, but she seems to have made it clear that that time was specifically for the album DXRNR and that story was already told, so i really don’t think this is related to kato or chris in any way. and respectfully interviewers need to stop bringing that up because she seems tired of mentioning it every single time especially when they’re assuming their album is still talking about these figures lol.

i’m thinking LMU and GTH because that was the time she was young and probably the most experimental and tbh seemed to be the most depressed. me and my partner have been watching her performances from 2014 and respectfully she looks very low energy and kinda out of it on stage and some of the performances are not great. i know people might not be truthful, but the ones who claim she had a bit of an attitude and was ‘rude’ during GTH may explain why exactly she might not have been so upbeat. old gg stars returning and the fact that michelle has a song on the album dedicated to her makes me think this is also no coincidence (alongside ofc honouring her memory)

for me this is also a very relatable album in terms of the past, and with the few songs released so far i would be feeling painfully called out between the ages of 16-21 lmao. she speaks about how she’s in a good place now but looks back on her younger days as ‘cringe’ or wondering why she did some of the shit she did so it does make me feel inclined that this album is going to be a ‘love(??)’ letter to god from herself as a teenager and young adult and being forced to go through these life events.

i analyse tf out of their stuff too and them using their logo that’s specifically from ‘going to hell’ for an album cover and her uniform heavily resembling jenny’s seems very intentional, almost seems like a parallel between gth and dg (her back is also facing us and she is sat down). also i must stress again, watch their old videos and see how people viewed her during that time. people are calling her a bitch but i have a feeling it was deeper than that and tbh sympathise with someone who had her teenage actions used against her.

but that’s just a theory, a pretty reckless theory

edit: i mention LMU and GTH being when she was most depressed but i disagree and sorry if that was in poor taste cause obviously the stuff she experienced pre dxrnr must have hit hard. ‘a really depressing time for her’ shall we say

It used to be they'd do a raw, acoustic cover for each single track that they release and it's sad that dxrnr got professionally recorded takes (although i am happy to be getting any sort of acoustic content) and for dear god we've had three releases and not a single acoustic cover in sight 😞

granted, 'when i wake up' is probably a tricky one to do acoustically, but 'for i am death' and especially 'love me' make for very good songs to do on just the guitar. no hate towards them, just expressing my sadness at the lack of ben's beautiful acoustic playing we used to get (i mean, they even did 'oh my god' and that's not exactly the most acoustic friendly song imo lol)

and just as a side tangent, a lil disappointed that their acoustic set back in december was the same stuff they have always done and we have so many covers of it already. it does seem like they didn't practice for it and just whipped up what they knew best, but it would have been nice to maybe get an acoustic witches burn, or hear dxrnr or at the time their new single fiad! something a lil different for a change.

2. Going to hell/Follow me down - lead single for going to hell. Follow me down was the first single released but not the lead single. I’m interested to see if your rankings will change depending on this. I’m interested in two ranks, one having GTH and the other FMD 😄

4. Death by rock and roll - i think you can guess which lead single this album is from lol
5. For I am death - lead single for dear god

5. Follow me down / Going to hell. Makes no difference to me!

Edit: It has been pointed out to me that GTH is technically the lead single for GTH. I assumed it was follow me down because it was the first song that was released from the album (the lyric video came out before the music video to gth). But GTH is technically the lead single. I’ll leave it open for interpretation and have both options you can pick from depending on how you see it :)
