Am I the only one that prefers Gojo with his blindfold

I feel like people disregard his blindfold in any media, edit, cosplay or fan art he’s in. Imo Gojo’s blindfold is his definitive character design. When I think of Gojo I think of this version. I feel like it visually gave him a lot of character. Having a character blindfolded but not blind tells us what we need to know about his strength just by looking at him. It gave him more aura like he was purposely nerfing himself while also being able to handle all threats with no effort at all.

I also think it’s part of the reason he’s so lusted after in the fanbase. The contrast to his hair laying down and his eyes being gorgeous caught many people off guard. It also showed that every fight he was in at that point was him holding back and taking his blindfold off revealed the true nature of his strength. He’s the first character to be heavily equally glazed by both the powerscalers and the fan girls/shippers in a way that no other fandom has been close to replicating, all stemming from this simple character design.

I personally prefer this version over him unblindfolded any day of the week and I still miss this version to this day

Why is it so controversial to say that Yuta became Gojo level along with Yuji despite it being narratively implied from the beginning

Considering the fact that they were both kids who had no idea about Sorcery who held a great power within them on track to being executed. Only to be saved by Gojo who saw himself in both the boys along with their potential. Yuta heavily has been compared to Gojo’s and Yujis potential being constantly talked about.

They’re both physical opposites where Yuji has great strength but low ce, while Yuta has low strength and unfathomable ce. They’re both held a curse adjacent entity within them. One being called the queen of curses and the other one being called the king of curses. They both feel guilty for the damage that was not their own. Along with Megumi, they were the ones closest to Gojo.

Then every official material art has them side by side with Gojo. You can also make a narrative argument for Tsurika and Modulo Yuji but that’s not a conversation that Im ready for.

All in all it just doesn’t make any sense for Yuji fo be the only one that got stronger. This doesn’t just go for Yuta either. This post was a Trojan for a greater conversation. Characters like Todo, Megumi, and Hakari also have been given the narrative implication to be great but nobody entertains it. Other characters also have great potential and immense talent alongside them. People can’t see how they can get to Gojo’s level but I think people just lack the imagination.

This is a greater issue in the fandom. Everyone wants their character to be number one and any character that is potentially relative is a threat to their own characters aura, so they have to downplay it or call it headcanon to shut down any speculative conversations. During everyone’s 20s to 40s they were most likely relatively equal. Having one person be the strongest goes against Gojo’s will. Gojo’s whole reason for being a teacher is so he can train the next generation to all be so strong that not one of them gets alone at the top. He wants multiple people on his level, but people are too illiterate and assume that he wants a direct successor when that’s the last thing he wants. Nobody has to be the next Gojo. Gojo doesn’t want his students to stand on the shoulders of his legacy but to engrave their own.

What is your ranking of the characters left alive at the end of series

It’s crazy to think about it, but most of the top tiers are dead. So how would you rank this post Shinjuku world of sorcerers at this point
