Are plush modifications welcome here?
I’ll remove if not allowed , but I do a decent amount of modification of existing plushies and thought I may post to see if any do the same.
I’ll often come across charming faces in my thrifting travels, but there’s always something not “quite right” with them(it’s seems I’m quite particular), so Ive started to modify to bring out what potential I see.
Pictured is the TY Panama frog next to one that’s been modified into my current car buddy on the left. It started with removing the big eyes, but needed the arms moved back to accommodate the new body proportions and sone general face sculpting to make more cute. I call her Wanda.
Second pic is a TY Rags with an underbite modification using offwhite fabric hot glue, embroidery thread and some fur trimming. He’s modeled to resemble my real life scruffy boy, Rumpelstiltskin
Third pic is my original Little Snoozems bunny(middle) next to various attempts at modifying vintage plushies into a version of little Snoozems. I almost have the body narrowed down now, but I’ve yet to attempt a full face in this style by myself. I just finished a tuxedo cat version that’s my closest yet, but it’s not pictured bc my daughter swept it away immediately and is currently snuggled up asleep with it lol
