Fed ex just sank it also.

Right after I told him to be careful lol. Guess Im blocking off that arm of the driveway.

He was as confused as I was, been through here everyday for years and now this. Same exact thing he stopped to back up and boom the front sank

What's worse is you can see my tire tracks right across that so it held truck weight a hour ago.

Threw in what Gravel i had and compacted by running smaller truck back and forth until it felt stable enough to try the big truck then big truck back and forth. You cant even tell i dumped 2 wheelbarrow of gravel there 2 days ago.

Guess im renting a skidder instead of making bedsides. This is gonna cost a couple kidneys

I literally got snowrunnerd in my own driveway. Stuck it in sight of the finish.

Well that was fun.

Happened just like in the game, was almsot to the drop off point and spent the next 4 hours trying to go the last 10 feet.

Went to go get wifes bicycle serviced, came back went to back into my spot and front tire slid to the right and sank. She digs in quick once the turbo spooled lol when it took me just a moment too long to process what was happening. Lost a inside dual off the rim because snowrunner damage from the sand lmao.

Stupid rain has apparently washed my gravel away and now its nothing but sugar sand.

245s are not the correct choice but did have locker engaged.

And yes I use this big beast as a normal pickup truck. Under cdl, Paid 8k, full coverage insurance is 72 month, 16 mpg with the 220hp tune from power hungry, my front wheels can turn 55 degrees so I can steer like a mini cooper and turn inside most cars. 1 foot longer then a quad cab longbed

2003 4300lp dt466e non egr, 3 plug body controller. Tldr at bottom.

So im starting to think that a whole rewire may be in my future since someone can't figure out how to do wiring without failing at it.

Been fighting many issues that I thought were a failing bcm but are mostly absolutely crap wiring repairs that are failing now that the truck is near the ocean.

Unfortunately one of you craptastic individuals (fleet truck so no excuses) has decided that everything should have a 40 amp fuse or be wired directly to the battery with 16 ga wire thats got 4 crimps in it because you couldn't find a long enough piece. I hope you drop your new snap on ratchet in the belly of a leaky dozer and while you watch it sink into the muck a raccoon from the taco bell dumpster blows ass all in your toolbox. Oh and take your fleet credit cards out of the visor before auction, maybe your name and dot/mc numbers also.

And yes those are multiple melted wires, because the cigar plug definitely needed a 40 amp just like the trailer plug.

So im channeling all this anger to a full harness swap it the only way I will know there's not some buried non fused jank that will burn it to the ground.

So back to the question

I know the Gen 2 5 plug bcms now get replaced with the Gen 4 7 plug controllers, was there a path for the 1st Gen 3 plug ones that plugged in from outside the cab?

Strongly considering using a later cab harness to use the Gen 4 controller since it should still talk to my 250k bus engine controller right?

Might as well just do a whole prostar dash swap and add all the cool toys.

I have the special dlb to do logic and such

Tldr:

any upgrade path from the Gen 1 bcm like the Gen 2 gets swapped with 4?

If not then any reason why a gen4 cab, dash, and midpoint harness wouldn't be my choice?

Beat anyone you see wiring anything to the battery with no fuse..

Want a spare? Im stripping it all out of the truck if anyone wants it before it goes in the dumpster. It works but I have never even seen one of these trailers in person so out it goes. Free. Close to the Alabama Florida line
