Except for the lack of building etc I would think this is Middle Harbour type area (Australia) taken from Clontarf
I have had a look at middle Harbour and was displayed there was even now quite a bit of greenery
I did also consider is that was the old elephants enclosure at taronga zoo (the white building )

Again the fifties I would think . I know he had quite a lot of tours around the Asian countries eg South Korea , Japan etc

Scanning old photos my father has taken. Possible 1950's or 60's. Rationale behind the dating is dad took a lot of photos early on in his career which started 1950ish
