Hiii everyoneee,

I’m thinking about putting a hydraulic handbrake on my BMW F20 (2015) and wanted to ask a few things before I do something stupid… I’m not an expert. Has anyone here actually installed a hydro on an F20? I’ve seen people mount it in the cup holder area… is that actually usable or just looks cool?because I really wanted to get an unscrawble lever.

Can I run it inline like: brake pedal → hydro → rear brakes? Does that mess with normal braking at all (besides more wear on pads/discs)? And overall… is this something you can realistically DIY, or is it one of those jobs that sounds easy but isn’t? Not trying to build a full drift car, just want something fun and “light” that actually works without ruining the car.

Any advice or experience would be appreciated, and sorry for the 1000 questions HAHAHAH. THANK YOU!!!
