Tier 2 officer scheduled an appointment

My VAWA was approved back in June 2025 and I already had my I-485 pending as well back then.
I placed outside of normal processing time request immediately after approval of my vawa. So in August I had an email response saying that within 60 days I’d get an action taken on my case. Nothing have happed since then and my others requests were ignored.
I was not successful in getting any help from tier 2 officers nor my congressman. However, about a week ago a very pleasant tier 2 officer got in touch with me. She was the first one that didn’t give me that sort of automatic, robotic response like “Your case is pending, wait patiently”
She actually said that it is way over processing times and that she would gather information and forward it further to tier 3 officer to review.
Today I assume that next level officer called me and after nervously addressing the issue to him he scheduled me an appointment for me to “take it up with them”
My question is - has anyone had this sort of appointment. I get that it’s not an interview but what happens during those kind of appointments. Could they just tell me the same thing to wait patiently or actually do something???
