God I love this car

Had my 2012 CDI For 8 years. Ive always been impressed by its efficiency but did a recent trip and wanted to see just how low I could get it. What a vehicle.

For non KM folk:

US MPG: ≈ 63.6 mpg

UK MPG (Imperial): ≈ 76.3 mpg

Since buying Ive taught myself how to replace wheel sensors, air, fuel and oil and cabin filters, ballasts and more. Its been so reliable and nowhere near as expensive as I thought to run.

Just a shout out to this amazing vehicle. I think ill drive it till it dies and get an EV. Still love it after all this time.

Hey brokers, was hoping to get some advice. I have been working in the mining industry (HV electrician) for the last 2 years, some full time some casual. Consistent earnings, ie never out of work. I recently took a job with a new contractor, paying 185k a year on a casual contract.

Ive only been with them 2 weeks but I now need to apply for a home loan. Am I screwed or are there lenders willing to look past casual and short term?

We are looking at 1.2M. Have 400k in cash from proceeds of house and savings. Partner on 30k.

I can provide a letter from my employer saying there is no shortage of work and pay slips, which show its not overtime or otherwise just base rate of $85 per hour.

What are my chances here 😬
