Aer Travel Pack 4 28L vs Travel Pack 3 Small Ultra

I made a comparison video between the Aer Travel Pack 4 28L Ultra and the Travel Pack 3 Small Ultra. I focused on fit, organization, comfort, and the real-world differences between the two bags.

I kept it as straightforward as possible for people trying to decide between these two Aer models.

What do you think : is the TP4 28L an improvement over the TP3 Small Ultra?

I’ve seen a lot of questions lately about how the new Aer packs actually compare in size and real-world utility, so I decided to put the 2026 lineup side-by-side to see how they scale.

I tested the Travel Pack 4 (35L & 28L), City Pack Pro 2 (24L & 20L), and the City Pack 2 (16L) to show the jump in dimensions and internal volume.

The goal was simple:

Fit Test: Seeing how these look on-body to get a sense of scale.

Packout Test: Using identical gear (standard Peak Design packing cubes: M+S and an Owala 24oz bottle) to show exactly what fits in each.

I put together a quick video to show the visual differences, no fluff : just the fit and the packing capabilities.

If you’re currently stuck between the 20L and 24L, or wondering if the 35L is overkill for your travel needs, hopefully, this makes it easier to decide.

For those who have already pulled the trigger on one of these : how are you finding the capacity vs. the carry profile? Would love to hear if your experience matches my testing!

I feel like this video could help anyone deciding on their next backpack, especially if you’re torn between the AER City Pack Pro 2 Ultra 20L and 24L.

I compare the 20L with the CPP1 and the CPP2 24L after long-term use, and talk through fit, layout, what it carries well, and whether the 20L feels like the better choice for daily use.

What stood out most to me is the return of the side pocket from the CPP1, combined with the more refined structure of the CPP2. That mix is what makes this one interesting to me, and honestly it might be my favorite AER backpack so far.

Would love to hear what others think about the 20L vs 24L choice.
