LLL 35 f1.4 “11873” vs Nokton 35 f1.4 SC

Recently acquired the LLL ‘11873’ double aspherical and have been enjoying the lens. I can only describe the images coming out of it as having just the right amounts of everything which come together nicely to create a really pleasing image with beautiful out of focus areas.

I had previously been using the 35mm Nokton SC exclusively as my go-to 35mm. The Nokton’s compactness has always been a big draw for me and I wanted to do a quick non scientific comparison of the renderings between both to see if the size difference is worth it.

Here’s a quick comparison shot at f1.4 out of the window for anyone else curious. (M10 SooC JPEGs)

First shot is from the LLL and second with the Nokton - main difference being the busyness of the bokeh highlights. The Nokton definitely has a more classical rendering but for its size advantage, still remains a great contender for a daily fast 35mm (Have thrown in a 35mm Summicron ASPH v1 for size comparison)

What do you guys think?
