Midwest Gaming Classic 2026 Haul
What I picked up Saturday at the Midwest Gaming Classic. I wasn't able to find the two things I have been looking out for for years (Star Wars Super Bombad Racer for PS2 and a Super Game Boy 2), but after a slow start had a decent haul.
Most of my haul was funded by selling a grade 8 CGC Base Set Charizard holo for $650 at the con. The rest was funded by selling the rest of my graded Pokemon cards locally for $730 as well as some loose singles.
Including parking, admission and an overpriced soda, total was $751.50.
Some fun stories: I overheard the seller of Adventures of Batman & Robin was running low on singles, so I negotiated paying with ten singles for a $5 discount.
Got the Jedi Starfighter strategy guide, the Sega Genesis Secrets 5 and the AC adapter for free when paying $325 for the Nomad.
At one point I was discussing with another attendee people we had met at previous MGC, and he mentioned Nostalgia Critic. I pointed out he and a few other Channel Awesome casts had a booth on the far side from us, which blew his mind.
The Star Wars: The Arcade Game appears to be a ColecoVision version. Had to post in a different subreddit to figure out because of my own lack of knowledge of the second generation systems.
