btw golden osmosis doesn't mean your armor is never gonna break in HCC
just difficulty 5
and also, trites do not have armor pierce like some are saying
this video isnt for the people saying to use gold as a early game set
it's for people who think gold is enough for everything until lost cities even in HCC
short test between gold vs diamond vs dragon
people kept telling me that there wasn't much diff between gold compared to diamond and dragon
but you can see pretty clearly that there is a giant diff between gold and dragon and also a pretty big one between gold and diamond
and also VERY IMPORTANT THING
magic shield does not seem to work in 2.9.3 HCC (if it doesnt work in HCC it probably also doesnt work in normal rlcraft) from what i can tell so against those lycanite mobs gold is going to perform worse than diamond
so, like 9 times out of 10 crit strike + fiery edge did better than SFA (that 1 time SFA probably got lucky with vulnerability)
do note that if you use RPC instead of RMB the damage will probably be less for crit strike + fiery edge (not tested tho)
also, some people might think that the magic dmg will mean it's gonna be worse compared to RPC builds for like parasites but that isnt true because RMB + magic focus 3 just makes your dmg stupidly high
so, in another world i had like full prot 4/3 gold armor with a saber that had lifesteal with like 3 hearts on each body part and i went into a battle tower but then a infernal mob dragged me into a hole and i ended up dying there via like 4 zombies while in this world with diamond i can easily tank like 8 of them for quite a bit
(this is HCC btw)
so i decided to do some tests and found out that gold takes like 1.7x dmg compared to diamond and then about 2.8x compared to dragon (sidenote adding masterful to diamond and dragon only makes the difference larger compared to gold)
and about the durability issue of diamond and dragon. just repair them with anvil. it only costs like 4 to 8 levels for first 3 full repairs (you should find a port city by now for the mending villager)
in short blight darklings in 2.9.3 and in 2.9.3 hcc have a bug where their damage multiplies like crazy the longer they are on you
so ya unless you got like 10 stacks of crake meat, use golem
it is fixed in dregora tho so you are safe there
