I'm trying to mold some fake bark with silicone molds and paintable caulking, I see there's black/brown/tan/gray caulk now but it's $15+ a tube. I have quite a bit of bark to make.

Would it be possible to squeeze white caulk into a frosting bag, color it with alcohol dyes abd use the frosting bag to apply it?

I've used paint to change the color before but it also makes it a little spongier in texture.
