24m, no improvement after 8 months

Hey guys, I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit.

I’m a 24 year old guy in the US. I used to drink pretty heavily on the weekend like a college student.. up until 8 months ago.

I randomly decided to get a metabolic panel done and holy crap were my liver enzymes elevated. I immediately stopped drinking (I’m 8 months sober which is big because I was a binge drinker!) and I was like okay that should fix this. I got a fibroscan and I was stage 3 steotosis basically extremely fatty liver bordering cirrhosis. IM TWENTY FOUR.

I haven’t touched alcohol in 8 months and I’ve been exercising like crazy. So I just got another fibroscan and I was excited to see how much it’s improved. Nope, I’ve seen very very little improvement.

The doctor simply said “okay we will check again in 6 months”…

Fuck. That. Excuse my language. What am I supposed to do, just check it every 6 months for the rest of my life until my liver fails? Why is the doctor not offering solutions? What is the solution? What is causing this at my age?

I’m sorry, I’m just scared and I don’t know what to do

Edit: I’m very fit, I’ve always been. Before I was into fitness and still drinking, I was still fit. My current BMI is normal.

First time cat dad to 8 month old - advice needed

Hello,

I feel as though I’m doing a poor job, and I want to provide the best possible life for this life I am now responsible for. But I’m really just figuring this out as I go.

2 weeks ago I adopted an 8 month old kitty and he is an absolute angel full of love.

Please critique my current routine and environment so I can improve:

I have an auto feeder set at the time he wakes up (5am is when he is up and hungry, and he lets me KNOW)

Then, I’m up at 8am (leaving 3 hours of him just sort of crying for attention which is very sad). Is it a reasonable expectation for me to now wake up at 5am? I can.

8am-9am I feed him wet food and cuddle/lots of pets

9 to pretty much 11am is just playing/chilling while I watch the news and coffee.

11am I do have school M-F, so I’m gone until about 3 or 4. His auto feeder goes off again at noon.

4pm I’m home, we play and I feed him wet food.

4-9 he’s pretty chill/not hungry. This is when I can sort of just relax with him.

9-11pm I usually play with him a final time and give him wet food a final time before I fall asleep.

As for environment:

Laundry room - litterbox and auto feeder

Bedroom - flowing water fountain, scratch pads, cat trees

Hallway - cat tree/scratch post

Kitchen - wet food bowl and water bowl (non-flowing)

You may be asking why he has two areas of food, for some reason he doesn’t eat the wet food in the laundry room and wants to eat in the kitchen with me lol.
