I've got Gash on Irelia and was offered Upgrade SoBD, which seemed amazing, because of 100% attack speed. It also had very nice numbers on it, but it felt like I actually should have completely ignored the second part of the augment and didn't build the item at all, because I was lacking tankiness/dps which I could have gotten instead. Am I missing something (heal is only for allies, right)? What are even the case uses of that item.
