My collection of 80’s/90’s toys, VHS, and DVDs has been slowly growing and I needed a place to store everything. Instead of just buying a normal shelf, I thought it would be fun to recreate the vibe of walking into Blockbuster on a Friday night.

So I built a Blockbuster style display shelf with the classic blue and yellow colors and made a Blockbuster Video lightbox for the top.

Now it basically feels like I have a tiny Blockbuster in my house.

Still half tempted to start charging late fees to myself just for old times sake !!!

Picked up a CA compliant Derya DY9 about a month ago. Wanted to share how I removed the mag disconnect and mounted a Holosun 407C.

The optic uses the RMR footprint, so the 407C mounts up nicely and sits at a good height. You can still see the factory irons through the window which is a nice bonus.

Mag disconnect removal steps:

Push out the trigger pin.

Lift out the mag disconnect lever and spring from the trigger assembly

Reinstall the trigger pin and reassemble the pistol.

After removing it the trigger feels better and the gun will fire without a magazine inserted.

Overall I’m really liking the setup so far. The 407C fits the DY9 well and the gun feels much better without the mag disconnect.

I’ve got a Glock Dry fire mag and it works perfectly with it to help train my wife/kids friends w the mantis system using a laser that’s sound activated I got on Amazon for $25.

This is quickly becoming my favorite handgun!!!

I can’t wait u til they back straps back in stock w/o the magwell.

Might eventually get an island slide but so happy w the way it’s running rn!!!
