Full timing in VA
Hi folks!
Long time lurker here. I have previous experience living in my travel trailer (Gulfstream Vintage 19ERD) for about 3-4 months in coastal North Carolina several years ago. I’m looking to full time again, but I’m in Virginia (DC-adjacent) and wanting to do it year round. I am thinking I’d upgrade to an RV, as I’d like more space and the ability to tow my car.
My biggest concern is the climate. I did my living in NC from August-November. It was perfect weather. Winters in VA are not harsh necessarily (I’m from Wisconsin) but I would want to mitigate risk of plumbing problems, and even finding a full time site I know could be tricky.
Who out there is full timing in areas that get snow / cold? Tips and tricks? Best way to find parks? Anything helps! I’m probably about one year out from making the purchases and the move and want to start really seriously thinking about this.
