Hi all,

Have done my research and compared various entry level sub £2000 CNC and the FoxAlien XE-Ultra seems to be the best with a generous 840x840mm work area, ball screws and linear rails throughout, closed loop 5,000mm/min. steppers.

Have looked at the available reviews on YouTube and just looking for any final input on these machines, anyone have one? My last concern is rigidity of the actual gantry. The Z has linear rails just wondering if the aluminium extrusion flexes at all? Thanks for any input.

Hi All,

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a Fox Alien Machine XE-Ultra CNC.

My shed only has a 240v 13 amp cable and so I cannot get the 1500w spindle as the electric draw will be to much with a shop vac and other electrical tools going and so will either use a Makita or similar router or the Genmitsu 710w 65mm spindle.

To me the Genmitsu 710w 65mm spindle looks just like a router but with ER11 collets, Is that the only difference or is their something else? Thanks.
