I have 2 bikes to give away. LMK if you want either or both
Hey friends. I posted these bikes on Kijiji last week and there's been no interest. I was planning to take them to Bikes Without Borders this weekend but was saddened to learn that they've closed.
Since this sub has been helpful to me and I know that this is a local bike-focused audience I want to offer them for free to whoever is able to come get them first.
The first is a Miele Torino 245 with 24 inch wheels. My son rode it from age 8-10. He's about 5' tall now and it's too small for him. It has a 3x chainring but doesn't shift.
The second is a Liv Via, size small - it was a trusty commuter for my 5'3" wife for years:
They both need some TLC (clean, lube, chain, and probably brake pads, maybe some new cables) but have served us well and seem to me to have a lot of life left. That Via especially is kind of hard to let go of because it's such a pretty frame with the split top tube - I almost built it into a mixte-style touring bike with drop bars but decided against mainly because we just don't need that.
I love these bikes, I love this community. Come get either or both to fix up and ride or to flip, whatever makes you happy.
