Not A Comparison Post (Korra and Roku)

As the title states, Im not comparing the characters themselves. Just one of their many feats in a discussion like format just to see if they are both as impressive as they truly are.

Korra’s one-motion, water push on Kuvira’s Mech is one of the most insane, cracked waterbending feats we’ve seen in the show. I love this showcase of her raw strength and skill as a native waterbender, as well as not making her use the Avatar state for it.

On the other hand, my question is, is Roku’s waterbending slam against his master on the same caliber of strength? Obviously, water is not only not his native element, but his opposite, and he still was able to generate that much force, all in the wave of one hand. Now there’s not freezing of the water like Korra did, and neither was he pushing back a multi-ton mech, but would you consider it on the same playing field of strength?

(I know that Roku is older than Korra as well, but I don’t that should come into account considering Korra has been bending elements since a youngin)
