Kingsnake size

This is Lenny, my Desert Kingsnake. He weighs 42 grams as of today, but I'm not sure about his age. The writing on the little box I took him home in says 6*3, which I can only interpret to mean he was born in June. Is there anything else these numbers could refer to? That's my first question.

I know he's at least 8 months old since I've had him since August of 2025, but I've seen kings online that are much much heavier at 6 months, which makes me wonder what's up with him. I know his species is among the smaller kings, but isn't this a bit much? He was eating single pinkies every 5-6 days for the first four months I had him, then I moved to fuzzies as soon as I thought he could fit them. It took him about 45 minutes to get the fuzzy in his mouth, which was a sign to me that it was good-sized prey. Since then I've been feeding him fuzzies every 7 days. Since each fuzzy is 4.5g, which is now roughly 1/10th of his weight, I'm going to move up a size by next feeding. I probably should have done so earlier, but he has always looked rather round. He used to shed monthly, now it's every month and a half. Is this a normal progression to people with kings? That's my second question. Thanks.

Probably good that he didn't get eaten, although Lenny would've tried if he noticed sooner
