▲ 2 r/Figs

New to growing figs and i just can't decide.

Im able to resonably able to care for two trees.

Ive narrowed down my choices to:

Violet Dauphine.

Longue d’Aout.

Constantine de Algerie.

Yellow Lebanese.

Black Zadar.

Black Greek.

info:

South missouri, zone 7b. hot, dry, humid summers. cold winters but I do have a greenhouse.

desires in order of importance:

self pollinating

1 sweet honey like & 1 deep jammy flavor

can handle humid summers

not too complicated to grow

growing space I can do pots in full sun or partial shade, they can be housed in a greenhouse over the winter, or they can be put in the ground but that seems unfavorable, we do get ice and snow in the winter.

After much puttering around we picked out:
Bleeding Hearts
Lily of the valley
Creeping phlox
A hellebore (that's black!)
Woodland phlox
a tiny orange balm plant
Lambs ear - son's choice - it's on the sunnier side
Two types of jacob's ladder that I can't recall the name of

and a giant solomon's seal that is currently 1" high lol

feat: my marjoram plant on the right that's the only thing that's survived the previous poisoning.
