Why is finding reliable domestic help in Morocco still so complicated?
I feel like hiring a femme de ménage or nounou in Morocco is still stuck in 2010 😅
Most people in Casablanca either:
- rely on random Facebook posts,
- WhatsApp groups,
- “a friend knows someone,”
- or expensive agencies charging crazy fees.
The problem is mostly trust. You’re literally letting someone into your home, sometimes around your kids, but there’s almost no verification system.
So we launched bclik.ma to try solving that in a more modern way for Morocco.
What the platform does:
- Verified domestic worker profiles
- Identity + references verification
- Direct contact between families and workers
- Legal contract templates compliant with Moroccan law
- Guidance for CNSS and domestic work regulations
- No monthly agency commissions
The idea isn’t to “replace” workers or agencies, but to make the process more transparent and less stressful for both sides.
We’re still early and improving the platform based on real feedback from Moroccan families and workers.
Curious:
- Would you trust a platform like this?
- What would stop you from using it?
- What’s the biggest issue today when hiring domestic help in Morocco?
Would genuinely love honest feedback.
