I am a 64 year old who has suddenly developed neuropathy. The neurologist has given me all sorts of tests. I’m not deficient in vitamin B12, not diabetic, etc. the one thing that popped out was a reactive marker for Lyme. Only one (A whole bunch were negative).
I don’t recall ever being bitten. But there was a day at fire island where we were swarmed by what seemed to be mosquitoes. There could’ve been a tick. This was about ten years ago.
I still have to meet again with the neurologist. Assuming that something else doesn’t emerge, should I be searching for a rheumatologist?
