What school to choose
I'm looking to get some advice. I'm 45, worked 15 years at a global consulting company, worked my way up the ladder, and I'm currently an Associate Manager that leads multiple projects. I might be late at getting my MBA, but it's one of my goals, and I'm doing it.
I've been accepted to the University of Houston and the University of Florida online MBA program. I would love to go to UF, but it's $20k more in tuition, and they require a 3.0 GPA at all times. UH doesn't have any conditions with GPA. Make a 2.0 and you're good to graduate. With having 2 young kids and possibly a 3rd, I know I'm going to have to sacrifice my time to complete my MBA. I'm willing to do that.
I guess my question is, is spending $20k extra worth it to get my MBA from UF instead of UH? If I go to another company to make more money or advance my career, will they not care as much with an MBA from UH or do they even care what school its from. I hear some companies don't care what school you go to as long as you have your MBA.
