Feel weird cuz of some proteins, need advice
I'm Italian. I bought some off-brand protein and creatine (the ones you find at the supermarket). I used them for months and months, and everything seemed fine. I even saw progress in gaining muscle mass.
Lately, however, I've been feeling nauseous, and my stomach is always bloated so bad. I thought it was normal because I started eating more, I even bought protein with extra calories, but I got anxious and threw it away (I reassured myself with the fact that many people throw them away when the taste is disgusting) because, reading the ingredients, I didn't know that xanthan gum and guar gum caused intestinal problems, colite, diarrhea and bloating.
I was probably impulsive, but now I just want to buy consciously; I know that spending more doesn't mean better quality. I really want the nausea and bloating to go away, so.. should I stop taking protein and creatine? I was wondering if 1 week would be enough?
Has anyone here had the same problems and looked into some 'light' proteins? the only sites I know are Prozis and Bulk (and they are in a not too high price range for me), but I know many people can't digest Bulk protein. Are prozis good? flavors or without? Is the creatine certified?
Don't write that the solution is to eat more because I know it but for now it's not possible for me, thanks!
