A serious controversy is unfolding at IIT Ropar, and the administration is staying silent.

- A first-year Physics PhD student publicly accused her supervising professor of sexual harassment/manipulation ( she posted on insta, linkedin, X handle) , she have audio, video evidence.

- She says she raised concerns earlier, but no meaningful action was taken.

- The proffessor has deleted his LinkedIn.

- CCTV footage, chats, and emails allegedly show the professor and student were involved in a relationship far beyond normal academic boundaries.

- At the same time, other circulating evidence suggests the student have manipulated the situation allegedly blackmailing the professor and demanding gifts/money.

- This is not a one-sided victim story. It appears both parties may have engaged in deeply unethical conduct. Both should be published.

- Yet despite campus-wide discussion and serious allegations, IIT Ropar has provided no transparent public clarification on what action, if any, is being taken.

Why is the professor still in his position?

Why is the administration silent while students are left to piece together events through leaked chat, video, audio, email proofs?

This is not about defending either side.

If the student manipulated and blackmailed—investigate that.

If the professor abused his authority and had an inappropriate relationship with his student—punish that.

If both are guilty—hold both accountable.

No institution should be allowed to bury serious misconduct allegations to protect its reputation.
