Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to decide between the Philips MLED910 and the Philips OLED760, both in 55 inch.

The TV would mainly be used for general watching:

- documentaries

- movies

- football/soccer

- news

- YouTube

- maybe some streaming on Amazon Prime etc.

The MLED costs around 550€ and the OLED around 700€. Paying ~150€ more would be okay for me if the OLED is really worth it in the long run, because I plan to keep the TV for many years.

What makes the decision difficult for me:

- I read that the OLED760 is not as bright during daylight viewing compared to the MLED910

- on the other hand, movies like Interstellar probably look amazing on OLED in a dark room

My living room is not extremely bright and the TV would not get direct sunlight on the screen, but there is still daylight in the room during afternoons/evenings.

How is football/soccer on these TVs?

Would you personally go for the Mini-LED or the OLED for mixed everyday usage?

I’m currently not planning to game much on it, but maybe occasionally in the future (Xbox Series X or PC). From what I read, both TVs seem decent for gaming.

I would really appreciate opinions from people who have experience with these kinds of TVs.

Ich muss in gut drei Monaten den Antrag auf Weiterbewilligung Bürgergeld beim Jobcenter stellen. Jetzt habe ich jeden Monat etwas Geld gespart (und dafür auf einiges verzichtet, hab immer Lebensmittel im Angebot gekauft und nicht wirklich das gegessen worauf ich Bock hatte, sondern das was wirtschaftlich günstig war LOL) und würde mir von den gesparten 550 einen Fernseher kaufen weil ich seit mehreren Jahren keinen Fernseher habe und so zumindest auf diese Art und Weise an der Gesellschaft wieder etwas teilhaben würde. Ich hätte aber schlechtes Gewissen wenn das Jobcenter dann Mitte August sieht dass ich mir einen Fernseher gekauft habe und ich würde dem Jobcenter dann lieber eine Druckansicht der letzten drei Monate zu diesem Zeitpunkt zur Verfügung stellen (also z.B. am 10.08. eine Kontoabfrage vom 10.05. bis 10.08. und dann davon die Druckansicht), statt, so wie ich das bisher gemacht habe, die Kontoauszüge, also die PDFs die man monatlich automatisch von der Sparkasse ins elektronische Postfach im Online-Banking bekommt, plus noch den zum Zeitpunkt der Antragstellung vergangenen Teil des Monats (August i.d.F.), also drei komplette Monate in Form von Kontoauszügen plus die Druckansicht der Kontoabfrage vom 01.08. bis 10.08.. Ich habe nicht etwa vor zu täuschen oder zu manipulieren LOL mir geht's nur darum dass ich mir mühsam Geld gespart habe für einen Fernseher und aber nicht möchte dass das Jobcenter sieht, dass ich mir für einen Fernseher gespart habe. Ja, das ist wirklich so. Weiß jemand, ob das Jobcenter darauf besteht, die Kontoauszüge zu bekommen oder geht die Druckansicht klar? Meine Recherchen haben nämlich leider unterschiedliche Meinungen/Informationen hervorgebracht. Es wäre super wenn das jemand wirklich sicher weiß und verlässlich sagen kann. Falls das relevant ist, es handelt sich um ein Jobcenter in Bayern. Vielen Dank im Voraus für eure Hilfe!

I’m mainly planning to use the tablet for watching YouTube, documentaries, and movies. For YouTube I’d use apps like GrayJay or CleanTube (mostly to avoid ads), and for movies/documentaries also Amazon Prime Video.

I’m not really planning to play games on it, although I guess it might become tempting on a nice tablet. I haven’t really been into gaming for a long time though.

Other than that, I’d just use basic apps like TikTok and Reddit.

Do you think the MagicPad 4 is worth it for this kind of usage, or would the MagicPad 2 be enough?

EDIT: With the MagicPad 4 I’d also get the stylus and a keyboard case included. I could actually see myself using the pen occasionally, more than the keyboard case. That said, I’d probably still get a more protective case anyway.

So I’m a bit torn now - the MagicPad 2 seems like the more sensible choice, but the extra accessories with the 4 make it a bit more tempting.
