Bangalore have so many film makers...Online but the film making is an In-person thing.

This might be a bit random, but I’ve been feeling this for a while.

There are so many filmmakers in Bangalore online… but almost no real offline space where people actually meet and talk about making films.

Most “networking” events feel very surface level quick intros, what they did, exchange numbers and that’s it. Nothing really meaningful.

So I’m starting a small, informal filmmakers meet in Whitefield.

The idea is simple: Just show up, talk about what you're working on, what you're stuck on, ideas you’ve been sitting on… basically real conversations, not pitching or flexing.

If you're someone who’s genuinely trying to make films (short films, YouTube, indie, anything), you’re welcome.

No agenda, no speakers, no entry barrier.

Here’s the link if you want to join:

Let’s see if this turns into something real.

Think about what it takes for someone to watch your short film today.

They chose not to scroll Instagram. They sat down, found your film on YouTube, and gave you 15 minutes of their actual attention. In 2026, that is someone actively choosing your work over the algorithm.

1,000 people watch. 100 want to know more. They click your link in bio.

You send them to your Instagram.

The audience that chose you over the algorithm — you just handed them right back to it.

They escaped the scroll to find you. And you returned them to it.

---

This is one of the reasons I built CineGrok (cinegrok.in) — a free profile platform for emerging Indian filmmakers. One page with your bio, filmography, and roles. A link you're actually proud to share — with an audience, with a producer, anywhere.

Here's what a profile looks like: cinegrok.in/filmmakers/shivajiraja

I'm a filmmaker too. I built this because it didn't exist. If you're on this journey, come build your profile. It's free.
