If I want to add smear frames, or some other drawn-in element but need the pose, is there a way to keep the FX on while I draw?

I want to hold out this second keyframe for one more frame, but when I copy paste it, it just adds the little diamond to the next frame and doesn’t do anything, just goes on to the next pose.

It’s my first time rigging and animating like this, I’m used to drawing and then adding the next frames after that 😅 Any help is appreciated, thank you! 🙏
