Iggy digestive problems
Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.
Our iggy is 1.5 years old - several months ago he started having random mornings where he’d wake up with his stomach making loud gurgling noises and refuse to eat. First 2 times it happened he threw up a bit (stomach acid) and was fine by the evening. Since then he’s never thrown up, but now it’s happening a couple times per week where he wakes up, his stomach seems to be gurgling a bit, and he’s not interested in food. He acts normal otherwise (maybe a little sleepy but he’s always sleepy in the mornings). He will always eat by midday, dinner at the latest. No throwing up, no changes in stool, and is otherwise very healthy.
Our vet suggested bilious vomiting syndrome so we’ve tried splitting his dinner and giving him half portion shortly before bed to ensure he doesn’t go too many hours without food, but that hasn’t changed anything. We feed him raw and have been adding a probiotic to his food.
We’re going to give a stool sample for parasites, but are stumped otherwise! Any thoughts would be appreciated!
