No one talks about how hard it is to exercise with migraine
I've been getting a lot more migraines recently, my doctor and I are trying to figure out new meds for me, I was previously on Topimax but it interferes with my birth control.
I've always been pretty active, I swim and lift weights. Lately with the increase of migraines it's been more difficult to work out. My migraines don't usually last for longer than 48 hours but the day after a migraine I'm often just a lump, making sure I don't cause a rebound migraine.
If I'm getting even just one migraine a week, that's three days gone.
My Instagram algorithm pushes a lot of fitness influencers at me and they all say "you gotta be going to the gym 3-5 times a week if you want to see progress" but I literally can't.
I just find it frustrating that I don't really see anyone talking about how hard it is to stay properly active when you have migraines.
