MPFL Reconstruction Recovery
Hi internet friends! I’m currently status day 5 post MPFL reconstruction with a cadaver tendon graft. For history I am a 25 yo F who is used to being very active. I’ve had multiple dislocations over the last two years and really took a turn down since last October to where PT failed and it became clear surgery was the next step. My surgeon said when I was put under that he was able to slide my patella with his thumb so glad to hear this was the right decision. I guess I’m reaching out for some advice/glimmers of hope for you. The last days have been really rough. Constant pain, feeling uncomfortable, and really taking a toll on my head. I barely got myself into a shower today and ended up needing help out. I am too afraid to bend my leg, I tried a little today and I feel like my body literally won’t let me. I guess I’m looking to hear when things should maybe improve and any suggestions to feeling more comfortable. Thank you
