Natural Dyeing is so fun!
So thrilled with how my natural dyeing project is going! I’ve set out to make as many colors as I can with items collected from my property and finally got some semi-vibrant colors with this weekend’s batch.
Yellow and green are from dried magnolia leaves (green from iron wash) and lavender and blue are from fresh dewberries (blue from baking soda modifier)!
So far I’ve only tested with 100% wool yarn but going to start plant-based fibers soon. I’m building out a binder with all the colors I can make throughout the year and so far I’m off to a pretty good start! Now just looking to increase the saturation to really make these colors stand out
