The way YouTube is algorithms work, or a significant bug affecting many creators, leading to a recent sharp drop in YouTube short?

Hey ppl, I already posted about what’s up on YouTube -> lately channels (esp small ones, but not only) have been getting hit hard, views just decreasing significantly, some down to crazy low numbers.

So yeah, I am in the same boat rn. My shorts barely hit 15–17 views, which is hella weird coz my old ones always got 1k+ views. Content didn’t change, format didn’t change.
Pls don’t drop the usual tips like “make it better, add hooks, keep posting lol.” Trust me, I’m not quitting my channel, not gonna happen.

Before I posted every 2 days, now I’m doing once a week. And nah, not reposting old vids that flopped - fresh stuff only. Just wanna test the theory a lot of ppl mentioned: new channels get good views at first, then boom ->> sudden drop. Cool, I’ll just wait it out. If in 1-2 weeks my sshorts start popping again, I’ll update. For now, still dead.
I sent a complaint to the support feedback twice, but who will answer me.

Also, I’ve been seeing more discussions about sudden drops in views, even from older channels. Coincidence? Or did smth actually break on YT early March?

I’ve been tracking a few channels ppl mentioned here, totally different content from mine & they post daily - using them as a metric to see if algo is back. they also used to get decent views, and then… early March — boom, gone.

  • So I’m asking the experienced YouTube folks: what’s your experience? Sudden drops u ever had? Did it bounce back or nah?
  • and if you’ve got a brand new channel, you’re posting, and your views didn’t drop at all - let us know that too

Don’t stress too hard, we’ll figure this together!
If anyone hit up YouTube support, read news, or knows any info - drop it pls.
