I got laid off just before the H1B lottery registration started in March 2026.

I am currently looking for a new job (SDE) and also worried about my next H1B attempt in March 2027.

I have been reading that some people with Master's and Wage 4 also did not get selected in the lottery.

I read about Day-1 CPT and also about CAP-Exempt jobs. How can I find the CAP exempt jobs? I am okay to work on less pay but need stability and also I am thinking I'll prepare my O-1 profile while working at the CAP-Exempt job and will move to a higher paying job once it's approved - I am totally naive in this and have 0 knowledge, please enlighten me here.
