VA Disability Lotto Win!!!

The title says it all.

Your compensation is not income. Don’t celebrate it. Accept it.

You gave some….Others have ALL.

What would your brethren/sisters who gave the ultimate sacrifice pay to breathe a lung full of fresh air?

And we have folks in here bitching about their last 10%.

Friends…live your best life. You served. You sacrificed. You gave. But….you did not give ALL.

I’m a vet. I receive treatment and disability compensation. But I am thankful for the breath in my lungs.

And I thank those who gave ALL that I have the means and the freedom to type my message of thanks.

Do not be greedy. Do not brag. Do not vent or compare.

Be thankful you are an US veteran. If you weren’t….good luck getting any form of physical or monetary compensation.

USA - Greatest nation on this planet.

Asking a pretty obvious question in the topic title.

Example:

1.) Consider a veteran who is 60 years old. He has one MH/PTSD disability rated 50%. This rating is only 1 year old (awarded last year). His code sheet confirms his ratings are ‘static’.

2.) This old veteran decides he’s going to pursue MH counseling at the VA clinic for personal reasons. Hoping his therapist documents honestly (that’s a different topic)

3.) He is not planning to open any new claims. He’s done.

4.) Assume the old vet has never required or would have surgery or hospitalization at the VA.

What can this veteran expect?

In my understanding…his only concern would be if the VBA gets ‘medical information’ from the VHA on substantial improvement.

If the VBA and VHA do not normally communicate, how could this information possibly be communicated to the VBA unless the VBA actively examines the veteran’s VHA records.

Someone please fact check me and provide some perspective. To me…the fact someone has ‘static’ ratings doesn’t mean anything….
