I bought two Tibetan Daggers at auction because they looked cool, but I’ve seen that similar ones go for pretty cheap online. Is there anyway to authenticate the age or use of these? The smaller one has wear that I was told was consistent with actual ritual use which makes them more valuable but I really am not an expert at this. I paid roughly 120$ USD for the pair
I know we got the LOI back in may of last year and a formal application was submitted in June so that would make it about a year ago, I know there were delays because of the government shutdown but how much longer could we expect to wait for an update from EXIM?
I got this really cool painting from goodwill and I’d like to see the artist who made it and possibly how old it is if anyone can help.
It’s about 33 by 45 inches including the frame, the signature looks similar to Henry Schafer but I honestly can’t tell and it doesn’t look anything like his notable works. Anyone have any idea who the actual artist may be?
