Looking for Clients

Hi all,

I’m a student in the UAE and I recently started a small subscription-based service called Contiflo.

It’s a simple monthly content service where I create high-quality Instagram posts for businesses. No reels — just clean, consistent posts designed to make your page look professional and active.

I noticed a lot of businesses and some small businesses here either:

  • Don’t have time to manage social media properly
  • Or end up posting inconsistent / low-quality content
  • Or pay agencies a lot for basic content that doesn’t really stand out

My goal is to offer something more affordable, but still focused on strong visual quality and branding — the kind of posts you’d expect from top brands like Nike or Apple in terms of style and attention to detail.

Right now I’m looking for 2–3 early clients who are willing to try it out and help out so I can build a good reputation in the market.

To make it easy, I can first create 2 free sample posts for your business, so you can see the style and decide if it works for you before committing to anything.

If you like it, we can continue with a plan. If not, no problem at all.

Feel free to comment or dm me if you want to try it out will send my website linked with my project and plans.

Starting a small creative business

I’m a student thinking about launching a small creative subscription business focused only on social media visuals (Instagram posts + content design), not full social media management like most agencies here.

The idea is a simple monthly subscription where businesses get consistent visual content instead of hiring a full agency.

The issue is I currently don’t really have enough money yet for a proper business setup/license, so before investing into everything officially, I wanted to realistically test demand first with maybe 2–3 small clients at lower pricing for now (around AED 500 month) then eventually use it to get a license.

Wanted to ask people here who’ve freelanced or started businesses in the UAE:

  • Is it legal to test something like this first with a few small paying clients?
  • Is accepting payments through my personal bank account okay at this stage?
  • For this type of design/content subscription business, would an eTrader license eventually be enough for starting stage or would I need something else?

Would appreciate honest advice from people with real experience in this.

Had an company meet-up on Friday, they told me the offer letter was coming. Sunday they messaged saying they're "finalizing." Waited until Wednesday, followed up — no reply.

I sent a polite but firm message saying I don't think it's right to leave candidates without any update after getting this far in the process.

They replied quickly on the spot out of nowhere saying it's not ghosting, just internal evaluations taking time.

Was I wrong to send that message ? And does the fact they only replied fast BECAUSE I called it out because i don't think they would even replied back without this?

I’m currently a university student trying to find a marketing role. I’ve done a few internships before as a marketing intern, with about 8 months of experience, and I’m trying to find another internship in the same field. But the job market has always been so stuck up here. My resume is tweaked to be as ATS-friendly as possible and made into the best version based on top hiring managers’ advice, and I’ve applied everywhere on Indeed and LinkedIn for similar marketing internships.

I don’t understand how I apply to the same positions that ask for requirements I have and skills that match what I do. I have built skills in SEO, social media, Google and Meta ads, GA4, and Semrush. I built all these skills during my internships, and I also did a few marketing certifications. Like, what else skills do I need to have? Fly to the moon now also?

I just keep getting rejected on indeed without even getting a chance to be known like bro at least call me and get to know my skills. I'm tired. What else do I need to do these days? Seriously, like do I need to be some kind of superhuman?

And then when I do get some calls, it’s like, “Would you be interested in an unpaid internship?” Like, piss off bro. No one is going to be a slave for you. Seriously we need to put an end to this. It's hurting young people and it's a shame some are exploited like this.

At this point, I'm gonna just keep trying to find an internship and fulfill some delusional expectations of some HR managers. It feels rough to be in this position, and I’m guessing everybody is in this position.

Anyone that has any advice would be appreciated cuz at this rate now even arsenal might win a premier league now.

Hey everyone,

I just launched my first YouTube channel and wanted to share it here to get some honest feedback.

My idea behind it is pretty simple: I’m tryna make investigative-style documentaries about brands and businesses.

The vibe I’m going for is similar to Fern, but focused more on brands, marketing, and the business side of things.

My first video is called:
“How IKEA Turns Shopping Into a Psychological Trap”

Watch it here:
https://youtu.be/1lHqDPMnAwo?si=CnPWDJ_8itToZURk

This is my first video, so I’m genuinely open to feedback on everything — pacing, storytelling, structure, even whether the concept is strong enough to build a channel around.

Would love to know if this is something you’d actually watch regularly.
