Dr. Burke + attitude
Maybe i’m just crazy… but it seems Dr. Burke is incredibly rude and dismissive towards her students. I’m currently in her 17B class and she’s less rude in lecture but still when people ask questions she gives responses that make them feel dumb. I went to her office hours on friday and she was even worse there, someone asked about a discussion worksheet and she got angry that the student wasn’t understanding the problem… I then asked a clarifying question about notation and she ranted about how we “did this in the 7th grade it’s not that hard” etc etc. attached are some of her responses to students on campuswire… she yells at students during exams when they stand up to hand in their paper because she doesn’t want them “climbing over” other people… just today i watched her yell at a student for that exact thing, stare said student down, say nothing, and refuse to take their paper for a good 30 seconds… i hope im not the only one that feels this way but she irks me a lot…
