Found these Hi-Tec Altitude VII with Michelin Soles for only $38. How do they hold up for light trekking and wet conditions?

Hi everyone, I just managed to find a crazy deal on these Hi-Tec Altitude VII WP in Indonesia. They cost me roughly $38 USD (MSRP here is usually around $130).

I was drawn to the specs: Full Grain Leather, Dri-Tec waterproof membrane, i-shield dirt/water repellent, and a Michelin rubber outsole. For the price, it seems like a lot of tech.

I'm a 9th grader and plan to use these for urban exploration and some light-to-moderate trail walks.

A few technical questions for the experts here:

How does the Michelin outsole perform on wet rocks or muddy terrain compared to Vibram?

They are brand new. Should I apply Mink Oil now to help with waterproofing and break-in, or will it interfere with the i-shield coating and the breathability of the Dri-Tec membrane?

Does anyone have long-term experience with the CMEVA midsole? Does it pack down quickly?

Appreciate any insights! Cheers!

Scored these Full Grain Leather Hi-Tecs with Michelin Soles for $38. How should I style these for a casual "Street-Outdoor" look?

Just picked up these Hi-Tec Altitude VII WP in Dark Chocolate for an absolute steal—roughly $38 USD (MSRP here is around $130).

I'm planning to make these my daily casual drivers for the urban jungle. I was surprised by the tech specs at this price point:

Protection: It features a Dri-Tec waterproof membrane and i-shield technology to repel water, dirt, and stains.

Hardware: The lacing system is rustproof, which is great for the humid tropical climate here.

The Sole: It’s a beastly combination of an impact-absorbing CMEVA midsole and a high-performance Michelin rubber outsole.

Interior Comfort: It has a micro-fleece moisture-wicking lining and, most importantly, OrthoLite insoles for that "walking on clouds" feel right out of the box.

The Fit:

I'm currently a 9th grader in a growth spurt, so I sized up to a 27cm (Size 43). There's about 1.5cm of room, but with thick socks and the secure lace-up fastening, they feel very stable.

I need your advice on styling:

Since these have a chunky "adventure" silhouette, what kind of outfits work best for a casual city look?

Would they look better with cuffed raw denim, or should I go for olive/earth-tone cargos?

Any specific color palettes that go well with this "Dark Chocolate" leather?

Can I pull these off with just a simple hoodie or a flannel for a daily hangout?

Also, given the i-shield coating, should I apply Mink Oil now to soften the leather, or just let them age naturally first?

Cheers from Indonesia!
