This Charlie Chaplin Speech is More Relevant Than Ever

This was Charlie Chaplins first talkie and was released in 1940 when the world was at war.

Modeled to look like Hitler he starkly contrasted the German Dictator by passionately delivering this speech that called for unity, compassion and to reject hatred.

Given current world affairs, I thought I’d share it as it ‘s amazing how almost every word resonates with what is going on right now. It’s brilliant and very powerful.

If you want to know more, it’s a very interesting piece cinematography history.
