Anyone tried using NotebookLM to learn game mechanics faster?

I’ve been using NotebookLM for studying for a couple months now and it’s been super helpful.

Recently I got into GM/Franchise-style games, but as a non-American, a lot of the rules and mechanics felt pretty obscure to me. So I tried something different learning a Hockey Game: I loaded a bunch of recent tutorial videos, some selected forum threads, and parts of the game docs into a notebook. Honestly, I’ve been pretty impressed with the results.

The AI answers questions surprisingly well, stuff like:

- What are the first steps when taking over a franchise?
- What’s the minimum number of players per position to keep things running?
- Where in the menu can I find specific player stats?

- How do I assign a scout?

Now I’m wondering if this approach works just as well for strategy games in general. I’m thinking about jumping back into Shadow Empire with the new DLC (after a couple of years away), and I might use this method to refresh everything.

Has anyone else tried something like this?
