I saw me in the mirror, the reflection not mine.

A horrid young man, composed and defined.

Blurry, his face, resembled mine.

"What gave you life?", I asked with disgrace.

"I never decay; only your eyes didn't betray."

"Who could you be?", I uttered in surprise.

"Stop pretend, I'm the demon you confine."

My tremble shown, I rose in horror.

A sight for him, his influence now stronger.

"You're mere in mind", I hurriedly dismayed.

"For now; indeed, till your sins outweigh."

"Cunning attempt to weaken my faith, lies won't reflect my fate.

I bow in prayer, I befriend the kind,

My trust in Him, my deeds display."

We fight valiantly, as our words exchange.

"Stop your rattle, you're naive to begin,

The prayers you say, what do they entail?

The mortals you reside; lies and deceives,

Your trust in Him, is your connection divine?"

His words weighed; I dejected his claim,

Albeit true, my pride took place.

Saw through me, he left a smirk,

Fading in space, he mocked my words.

"Your stance, correct, don't let me misguide,

Your arrogance, high, why don't I oblige?

Destroy thyself; I won't indulge,

Avoid forgiveness when it's said and done."
